I cannot think of too many books Ms Halle has written that I did not like. I liked Magnus in the first book of this series and I adored him in The Wild Heir. So much from his story and his family that I was rooting for him the entire time. Magnus might be one of my favorite characters from a Halle book. He was complex, charming, adventurous but vulnerable. But not an Alpha man vulnerable. Magnus will have you in tears from either laughing or crying. I’m serious. I warned you. Hope to see one of his sisters get a story.Even though I have given this book 5 stars I must say that I wish the author had made the lead female, Isabella, a little older. If Ms Halle’s intent was too make her immature and a little whiny, then she succeeded. By the end of the book, I could understand the immaturity but she was not one of my favorite leading ladies from Ms Halle.
Great job! Good book!

Ever since meeting Magnus in The Swedish Prince I have wanted to know what made him tick! He was the confident, cocky Prince that was always ready to party. However in The Wild Heir, that partying prince soon realises that he needs to rein it in and find himself a bride.
I loved seeing the change in Magnus; he knew that he got himself into trouble, and was willing to step up to repair the damage that he'd done. Although the plan scared the crap out of him, more so than jumping off a cliff, he was willing to do it, not only for himself, but his family too.
The perfect choice for him was Ella! I loved how she came in to their initial meeting and was determined not to fall for his charm. She knew he was a playboy and an adrenalin junky Prince, but she was willing to stand her ground. She was a sweet girl, that I adored because she wasn't one to back down and really challenged Magnus.
The more time that Magnus and Ella spent together, you could see this unconventional pairing was turning into something real. They supported one another through a few tough times, and the chemistry was smoking!
Again I love the way Karina Halle is mastering these lighter reads. I've fallen for each of the couples so far and I am dying for more! I damn well hope we get King Aksel's story next! I need to know more about him!
I have a crazy fascination with all things royal. So, I always want to read stories about this topic, add in the fact that it’s by Karina Halle and it’s a no brainer!
This book lovely, I enjoyed the fact that it was about royals in Norway and that we got to understand the culture and some of the language as well!
All of the characters have unique personalities and brought a lot to making the book one that I could not put down. Highly recommend.
If I were the type to judge a book by its cover, I would've insisted this book was going to be fantastic before I even began reading. The deliciously stunning cover of The Wild Heir is my favorite to date from this author. I want to lick it and touch it and ogle it all day long. The icing on the cake comes in the form of the unputdownable royal romance that evolves between the pages. The Wild Heir is a slow burning story of a marriage of convenience that I absolutely adored. I devoured this book and thoroughly enjoyed every single page.
Magnus, the Prince of Norway, is reckless and wild and rebellious. He's impulsive and his antics eventually come back to bite him. In lieu of the rapidly deteriorating public opinion of the royal family, Magnus is urged to demonstrate that he takes his royal responsibilities seriously by finding a suitable wife. But the demure yet headstrong Princess Isabella of Lichtenstein turns out to be everything Prince Magnus never expects, and one he comes to fight for rather than dread.
The push and pull in this story is everything. This story sees Magnus and Ella through many phases of their rapidly changing relationship and through each new stage of their dynamic comes complicated emotion, fierce attraction and the delicious bite of sexual tension. As the royals evolve from strangers to pseudo-friends to comrades in their reluctance to wed, their contrived romance drifts towards one that is genuine and IT IS YUMMY to see. I was riveted by this story, so consumed by what would come as the story moved along. I love a royal romance and I couldn't put this one down.
The Wild Heir is refreshing and light but remains sexy and heartfelt all at once. It's peppered with sharp humor, edged in a bit of sadness, and there's a good dose of angst courtesy of a red headed villain. To my surprise, these Norwegian royals weren't stuffy or haughty, something I have come to expect from books surrounding royalty. Instead they're unapologetically down to earth, their banter is rife with humor and they truly seem like ordinary people with extraordinary titles attached to their names. This, like every book she writes, is a refreshing change of pace for Karina Halle and one that makes my appreciation for her writing and storytelling continue to grow. The Wild Heir is an unpredictable page turner full of wildly magnetic personalities, slow burning royal romance and it's a testament to family that I absolutely loved.
