Love me while I'm gone Half of Me Volume 2 Diana T Scott 9781519272775 Books

Offered to read and review a Hidden Gem ARC and was glad I did. The second book in the Half of Me series was as touching as the first. They both are "second chance" romances and can each be read as stand alone stories. There are overlaps between Ava and Sebastian's stories and Emily and Collin's. Theses two books remind me of Susan Howatch's family sagas where I got my first real exposure to different people giving their different POVs of the same event. Always has fascinated me. Scott's characters are complex and well developed with so many unique and common personality traits. As with the first, this book moved quickly and "moved" me emotionally. The path to true love is rocky, but I enjoyed this sweet HEA!

Love me while I'm gone Half of Me Volume 2 Diana T Scott 9781519272775 Books Reviews

I felt the book was resolved by never actually talking. I am glad I read it.
I felt the hero was an idiot.
This is my first book from this author and I liked it. It was a little slow in places but all in all a solid read. Will go back and read the first book when I get a chance.
It was a nice read. It was a second chance romance. It was well written. The characters were good, though Emily could grow up a little. Over all it was a good story. I received it as an arc and voluntarily reviewed it.
Enjoyed reading Collin and Emily's love story. There's an instant attraction between the two when they meet and relationship grows between the two until Collin make a decision that affects their relationship. As they both struggle with issues from their past they find out they can work through challenges together. Recommended read
This is a touching and emotional contemporary romance that kept me entertained and intrigued from beginning to end. I really liked the chemistry and dynamic between Collin and Emily. This is the first book I've read by Diana T. Scott but I hope to read more by this talented author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
A second chance love story that was sweet but somewhat disjointed at times. Collin and Emily met at the hospital and were attracted when suddenly he left the residency program without warning. His best friend and only friends girlfriend had been killed in an accident and he spent two years traveling with him. Back on the scene he reconnects with Emily. Uncomfortable at times but loves resurfaces. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
4.5 stars for this one

I read the first book quite a long time ago. I loved it a lot though and I was really excited to hear that the second book was coming out. I got the second book…but didn’t read it. The the third one came out and I was like ok, I am definitely falling behind with all my reading.
I finally have managed to make myself read it and I am super happy I did because this book was really good. There were a few things about this book that I didn’t enjoy that much and I will talk about those first.
The first thing that really got to me was how childish Emily acted most of the time. It was like everything had to be her way and if not then she wouldn’t play anymore. I really hated how obsessed with herself she sounded and it kind of took away the appeal of her as a cute and somewhat innocent and funny character.
I also didn’t like how she always kept pushing Collin away and in the end it took just some certain events for her to finally let go of her grudge. Most times it seemed as if she enjoyed being angry and miserable because she kept making the silliest excuses. Now it could be that I am just the kind of person, who usually likes tackling things like this and working everything out as fast and as reasonably as I can.
It was a really sweet book though and I especially loved how we got to see Ava and Sebastian from a different angle. Overall I think there is just something absolutely gripping about hospital stories or I don’t know maybe it’s just me who finds them gripping.
This was a fast paced and very great book to read and I definitely recommend these books for people who need to get a break from tougher books or need to climb out of a reading slump hole.
The friendships in this book are to die for and I can only dream that I’ll one day have roommates as great as Paige, Miles and Ava and also Emily. This book was also really funny and made me laugh out loud or snicker a lot, which made the people at school and on the train look at me like I was a total nut. But hey, for the sake of reading , all the stares are worth it.
There was definitely a lot of emotion in this book as well as the first one and there is quite a lot of loss that the characters deal with. It really makes you appreciate the things and people you have in your life.
This series is actually very dear to me because ”Our Demons, Best Friends” which is the first book, was also one of the very first books I received for review. I was a part of the book tour for this series and I am super thankful for the opportunity to support Diana, who is just amazing and share her books with you all. I can only hope to maybe get my hands on the third one soon and also write a review for you on that.
